Gunyah is a private split-level timber pole house set in a bushland garden overlooking the waterways of Port Stephens. ‘Gunyah’ is an Aboriginal word, meaning resting place or place of shelter, this term is found in a number of Indigenous languages in NSW, including the Gathang/Kattang language of the Worimi people in the North Arm Cove area.

Gunyah acknowledges the Wormi people – the traditional custodians of this land – and their elders past and present, it is on their ancestral lands that Gunyah is located.
